Incontra Emily Watson, nata il 14 gennaio 1967, un’attrice inglese. Ha ricevuto nomination agli Oscar per il suo primo grande ruolo come Bess McNeil in Breaking the Waves di Lars von Trier (1996) e come Jacqueline du Pré in Hilary and Jackie (1998), aggiudicandosi il BIFA Award come Migliore Attrice per quest’ultimo. Ha anche vinto un BAFTA TV Award per aver interpretato Janet Leach nel biopic ITV Appropriate Adult del 2011.

Emily ha iniziato sul palcoscenico, entrando nella Royal Shakespeare Company nel ’92. Nel 2002, ha brillato in Twelfth Night e Uncle Vanya al Donmar Warehouse, ottenendo una nomination all’Olivier Award 2003 come Migliore Attrice per Vanya.
