Annette Carol Bening (nata il 29 maggio 1958) è un’attrice americana. Ha iniziato la sua carriera sul palcoscenico con la compagnia del Colorado Shakespeare Festival nel 1980, e ha interpretato Lady Macbeth nel 1984 all’American Conservatory Theatre. È stata nominata per il Tony Award 1987 come Migliore Attrice Non Protagonista in un’opera per il suo debutto a Broadway in “Coastal Disturbances”. È stata candidata quattro volte all’Oscar; per i film “The Grifters” (1990), “American Beauty” (1999), “Being Julia” (2004) e “The Kids Are All Right” (2010). Nel 2006 ha ricevuto una stella sulla Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Dopo il suo debutto cinematografico nel film del 1988 “The Great Outdoors”, ha recitato in “Valmont” (1989), “Bugsy” (1991), “The American President” (1995), “The Siege” (1998), “Open Range” (2003) e “Running with Scissors” (2006).
